Care & Cleaning

A little care helps preserve the finish and setting of your jewelry. Gold can scratch, and even a diamond can be damaged by a hard impact.

Clean gently

Use lukewarm water, mild dish soap and a soft brush. Clean carefully around the setting, rinse in a bowl and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. If a stone or setting appears loose or damaged, stop wearing the piece and ask for advice before cleaning it.

Protect your piece

Remove jewelry before swimming, exercise or work that could expose it to impact or chemicals. Avoid bleach, abrasive cleaners and toothpaste. Leave ultrasonic cleaning to a professional who can assess the setting first.

Store separately

Use individual soft pouches or lined compartments so pieces do not rub against one another. Fasten chains before storing them to help reduce tangling.

When to ask for help

If you notice a loose stone, bent prong or a clasp that no longer closes securely, stop wearing the piece. Contact support@rarefinejewels.com with your order number and clear photographs.
