Before choosing a piece, it helps to know exactly what its documentation covers. A laboratory report and a manufacturer card serve different purposes.

Independent laboratory reports

A laboratory report records an assessment of the stone submitted to that laboratory. The issuing laboratory, report number, covered stone and assessment details matter. A report for a center stone does not automatically cover every small diamond in a piece.

Manufacturer documentation

A manufacturer card describes a piece according to the maker’s records. It is not an independent laboratory assessment. Ask us which documents accompany your exact product and selected variant before placing your order.

Read the actual report

Laboratories may use different terminology and assessment formats. Check the document’s date and the issuing laboratory’s verification service rather than assuming all reports use the same scale.
